Frances Winter

Frances Winter combines artistic flair with business acumen, supporting Winter Jones with creativity and structure. A former finalist for North West Fashion Designer of the Year, Frances also leads The Botanical Cake Company, adding depth and balance to the practice's client-focused ethos.

Previous Project: Albert Dock Welcome Pavilion

A striking welcome pavilion designed to serve as a multifunctional space, featuring exhibition areas and hospitality facilities, celebrating the historic dock while embracing modern design.

Previous Project: Liverpool College Pre-Preparatory Expansion

A modern pre-preparatory building for Liverpool College replacing an overcrowded Victorian villa. Located in the Mossley Hill Conservation Area, it increases capacity to three forms of entry.

Previous Projects: Liverpool City Centre Pavilion

A modern pavilion designed within an existing masterplan. The elliptical structure introduces high-quality dining and leisure spaces, enhancing connectivity and footfall within the park.

Previous Project: Unity Theatre Redevelopment

The redevelopment of Unity Theatre modernised the historic venue, improving accessibility and facilities while preserving its unique character. The project included a new entrance, enhanced performance spaces, and upgraded infrastructure to better serve Liverpool's creative community.

Robert Jones is the practice lead at Winter Jones, combining a vast experience from leading architectural practices with a passion for thoughtful, client-focused design. A qualified architect, registered with the Architect’s Registration Board (ARB) and a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Robert has successfully delivered small and medium-scale public and private sector projects, managing teams and navigating complex challenges.
Raised in Ruthin, Robert is deeply rooted in the community, where he also enjoys coaching the Ruthin Town Football Club’s Under 6 Team. His collaborative approach, creativity, and dedication to building lasting client relationships underpin Winter Jones’ family-focused ethos.
Frances Winter
Frances Winter provides creative and administrative support at Winter Jones, bringing both artistic flair and business acumen to the practice. A Fashion graduate from the University of Liverpool and a former finalist for North West Fashion Designer of the Year, Frances has previously worked in administrative roles for leading architectural practices in the past. She also leads The Botanical Cake Company blending creativity with a practical mindset. Her diverse skillset adds depth and balance to the Winter Jones ethos, contributing to its thoughtful and client-focused approach.
